On the afternoon of April 28th, our school, together with the Education Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and CHDOC (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD., jointly held a cross-border online and offline research symposium, with the theme of promoting vocational education development through school enterprise cooperation. Li Qingxian, Deputy Director of the Education Department of the Autonomous Region, Principal Li Lin and Vice Principal Liu Cunxiang of our school, Executive Director and General Manager Ding Guoxing of CHDOC (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD., representatives of outstanding graduates from our school, representatives of Cambodian employees, and relevant functional department leaders from the Education Department of the Autonomous Region, the school, and CHDOC (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD. attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Zhao Wenliang, Deputy General Manager of CHDOC (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD.
At the symposium, Vice General Manager Zhao Wenliang introduced the basic situation of CHDOC (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD. The downstream hydropower station in Cambodia, the largest hydropower project of China Huadian Corporation overseas, has a total installed capacity of 338MW. Since the operation of China Huadian's downstream hydropower station in Cambodia, it has provided over 9.8 billion kWh of clean energy, created hundreds of jobs, and made outstanding contributions to Cambodia's independent power supply and economic development.
Subsequently, Principal Li Lin, on behalf of the school, reported to the attending leaders on the achievements of the school in serving enterprises' "going global". He stated that the school has always regarded CHDOC (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD. as an important partner in the opening up of education to the outside world. Next, the school will continue to promote communication and cooperation with CHDOC (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD. in terms of technical cooperation, international student training, skill appraisal, etc., striving to achieve resource sharing and talent co education, and cultivate school students and Cambodian employees into technical and skilled talents that better meet the needs of enterprises. It will contribute to serving international production capacity cooperation and Chinese enterprises going global as the "Guangxi Hydropower Power".
In his speech, Ding Guoxing, Executive Director and General Manager, expressed gratitude to the school for its efforts in cultivating and delivering outstanding graduates for the company, as well as providing skills training for local employees. This has improved the technical skills of the company's employees, assisted the downstream hydropower station in Cambodia in providing clean energy to the local area, and made significant contributions to alleviating the electricity pressure in Cambodia.
At the main venue in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and the sub venue of the downstream hydropower station in Elxay, Huang Xiang, a graduate of the school's electrical automation major in 2014, and Liang Yaoming, a graduate of the power system automation technology major in 2014, delivered wonderful speeches as representatives of outstanding company employees, to express gratitude to the school and thank the leaders of the Education Department of the Autonomous Region for sending warmth overseas, to continue carrying forward the school motto, actively serve the development of overseas hydropower stations, spread China's hydropower technology and Chinese culture, and strive to be a practitioner of the "the Belt and Road" initiative. Wu Xitian, the representative of the Cambodian student "Chinese+Vocational Skills", stated in his speech that the content of the "Chinese+Vocational Skills" course is very rich, which has improved the Chinese language and professional technical abilities of the company's Cambodian employees. He experienced China's 5000 year cultural history and gained a lot.
Finally, Deputy Director Li Qingxian of the Education Department of the Autonomous Region delivered a speech at the main venue in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. He highly praised the innovative practices and practices of the school in the "Chinese+Vocational Skills" training, and raised three hopes. Firstly, CHDOC (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD. can actively leverage the power of Chinese enterprises to assist Cambodia's development in areas such as power supply, clean energy development, and environmental protection, while Cambodia's energy development is promising. Secondly, our school can continue to explore new ways of "Chinese+Vocational Skills" training, upgrade "Chinese+Vocational Skills" training and education, explore new models of open cooperation in vocational education, expand the influence of Guangxi vocational education in ASEAN countries, and contribute to building a community with a shared future between China and Cambodia. Thirdly, relevant functional departments can promote the opening up of Guangxi’s vocational education and make vocational education in Guangxi oriented towards ASEAN.
