Vietnam America College Hanoi Visits the College

On January 2nd, the President of Vietnam-America College Hanoi(VACH) Ms. Tran Thi My Hang, and her delegation visited Guangxi Vocational College of Water Resources and Electric Power. Deputy President Liu Cunxiang accompanied the delegation during their visit.

During the meeting, Liu Cunxiang extended a warm welcome to Ms. Tran Thi My Hang and her delegation and expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality received during their visit to VACH last year. He noted that since August last year, both parties have conducted multiple discussions on strengthening the development and collaboration of programs such as Economic Management and Transportation Engineering, following the signing of a tripartite MoU at the China (Guangxi) - Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City) Economic and Trade Cooperation Matching Conference. These discussions have laid a solid foundation for advancing joint training programs set to begin enrollment in early 2025. He expressed hope that this exchange would further enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the two colleges, expedite the implementation of collaborative projects, and explore additional opportunities in talent cultivation, faculty exchange, and research collaboration.

In her remarks, Ms. Tran Thi My Hang expressed her appreciation for the warm reception and commended the achievements of Guangxi Vocational College of Water Resources and Electric Power. She remarked that the college has a long-standing history, distinctive academic strengths, and advanced teaching methods, with many programs closely aligned with Vietnam's job market demands. She expressed her hope that the two institutions would uphold the principles of mutual benefit and collaboration to engage in deeper cooperation in faculty development, student training, and resource sharing.

During the open discussion, the two sides had an in-depth exchange on international student programs in Modern Logistics Management and Automotive Testing and Maintenance. They initially agreed to collaborate on student recruitment for the Modern Logistics Management program. At the conclusion of the exchange, both parties exchanged diplomatic gifts symbolizing the cultural heritage of their respective institutions, expressing gratitude for the visit and their hopes for fruitful future cooperation.

During the visit, Ms. Tran Thi My Hang and her delegation toured the Schneider Electric Green Low-Carbon Technology Application Center, the CNC Training Base of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the Comprehensive Electrical Training Base, the Training Base of the School of Transportation Engineering, the Training Base of the School of Automation Engineering, and the Fenghuangshan Hydraulic Engineering Training Site. While visiting, Ms. Tran Thi My Hang showed great interest in the advanced training facilities and achievements in school-enterprise cooperation and vocational skills training. She gained a detailed understanding of the teaching models, practical training, and the integration of production, education, and research at each training base, highly praising the college's innovative practices in vocational education.

The visit by Ms. Tran Thi My Hang and her delegation has further strengthened the cooperative relationship between the two schools. With joint efforts, both institutions are poised to achieve significant results in international student training and contribute actively to cultivating highly skilled technical professionals with international competitiveness.

Leaders and representatives from the Foreign Exchange Center, the School of Hydraulic Engineering, the School of Electric Power Engineering, the School of Mechanical and Electric Engineering, the School of Economic Management, the School of Automotive Engineering, and the School of Automation Engineering participated in the activities.
